The Best Is Yet To Come

I stumbled on these absolutely beautiful paintings by Nina Nolte and couldn't resist sharing them, they are so colorful and so realistic! I also love that these women are decked with jewels, big shades, turbans, and cocktails. Who wouldn't want to lounge by a pool looking like that! Not only that, but I love the title of the paintings, "The Best Is Yet To Come". Isn't that the truth! I can't help but constantly remind myself that even better things are to come. I still cannot believe that just months ago I up and moved to NC hoping to God that I would find a job and start building my career. I have been beyond lucky (and with hard work) have met great people and am fortunate to be doing just that. Everyday I am designing, learning new things, being challenged, and pushing myself to do more and be better. So yeah, I would love one of these paintings.....for just that, knowing someday I will be lounging poolside, with my big shades, delicious cocktails, and relaxing with my girlfriends. Until then, I'll be enjoying my queen size air-mattress and the $4 bottle of riesling I just bought.  Enjoy and have a lovely night!

A Little Etsy Shop!

Yes, I decided to start an Etsy shop! Well I opened it back in September (but then decided to wait). But it is now officially open! I am going to slowly add more and more to it. Right now I made some digital pattern packages and a couple printable cards, but I plan to make some branding packages, a few crafty goods that I make, as well as some invitations and stationery. Here's a peek at what I have now, but keep checking back to see what I have added!

Portfolio Update

So yeah I'm a bit busy, I started working at a law firm part time to assist in their 2012 marketing plan. I am still working at the bakery part time and working with marketing firm doing side design projects. Needless to say I'm kind of all over the place. But to keep you updated I have been doing some web design (which I'm really enjoying) here's what I have thus far, you can check out the rest here! I'm hoping to get my new blog up soon so I can actually have my portfolio up and running. But, this will do for now!

Just Freestyling

Alright, I saw this quote somewhere on Pinterest and lost it...so I wanted to re-create it just to post about it. For my family and friends that know me well, know that I make up my own words to songs I don't know (like I'm sure many of you do), but my words tend to be a tad ridiculous. I won't even get into the song "Ridin' Solo" by Jason Derulo, because that was just bad, but needless to say I now have something to come back with when someone does try to correct me. Enjoy!

In A Boat: Engagement Sessions

I don't know about you but I'm kinda loving the old boat e-sessions. I know for a fact when it's my time to plan an engagement session there will be some sort of dressing up (1950s era) and why not throw a boat into the mix? Here's a few that I pulled from around the inter-web for some inspiration! Enjoy
